Fans of the Staten Island FerryHawks baseball team are as passionate as they come. As an independent league professional baseball team and member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, the FerryHawks serve as a significant point of pride for the Staten Island community. In 2025, team ownership determined the time was right for upgrades at SIUH Community Park—the FerryHawks’ home stadium—as a way to take the gameday experience to the next level for players and fans.
In addition to new, state-of-the-art LED stadium lighting, the upgrades would also include videoboards for enhanced entertainment. However, given New York City’s complex regulatory, permitting, and compliance requirements; complicated job site logistics; integration of new networking and AV system with existing infrastructure and legacy controls; and the aggressive project timeline, the club knew it needed a partner whose advanced technology was matched by extensive project planning and management expertise.
After extensive research into LED sports lighting providers, FerryHawks ownership found the partner it needed in Musco. A highly customized TLC for LED® system with Show-Light® Pro entertainment technology was designed for SIUH Community Park, as well as a cutting-edge videoboard system with stunning high-resolution visuals.
In partnership with Gilbane, AMA Electric & EJ Electric, Musco executed a fast-tracked fabrication and installation, seamlessly integrated new videoboard and rack systems with existing infrastructure and the stadium’s legacy data and control systems, and successfully navigated all of the regulatory, permitting, and logistical hurdles in time for the FerryHawks’ season opener. Not only did the LED lighting and videoboard system upgrades transform the gameday experience for players and fans, Musco also delivered a scalable, future-ready solution that opened the door for additional enhancements such as ribbon boards and extended display capabilities.
