Setting the Scene

A New Kind of High School Game Day Experience

For the Valley High School community, their home opener was more than an exciting evening of Friday night football. It marked the debut of comprehensive entertainment upgrades that transformed the gameday experience at Valley Stadium.

District leaders had already transformed the venue with Musco's TLC for LED® lighting system and Show-Light® entertainment technology in 2019. They wanted to expand the stadium's entertainment capabilities even further.

What began as a discussion about enhanced light shows evolved into a broader vision: using videoboard and light show technologies to create the kind of immersive atmosphere typically associated with collegiate and professional sports venues.

Making an Impact

An Immersive Game Day Experience

Valley High School collaborated with Musco to integrate an exciting set of venue technologies into a unified entertainment platform that can be managed from the press box. With Musco as a single-source provider, the district had a partner they could trust through every stage of the project and for the lifetime of their system, including 24/7 service, support, and long-term warranty protection.

Fans who attended the Tigers’ game vs. Waukee Northwest got a first look at the system – with high-energy video presentations and colorful lighting effects starting even before kickoff.

Centerpiece of Fan Experience
Taking center stage is a new Musco LED Videoboard System featuring a 32' x 19' display, it replaced an aging digital scoreboard. The videoboard delivers crystal-clear images across more than 500,000 pixels. Creating new opportunities for live video, in-game motion graphics, instant replays, player profiles, sponsor recognition, and more.

Expanded Light Show Capabilities
Color-changing fixtures and moving-head lighting expanded the stadium's entertainment capabilities. The school can now take advantage of programming, including custom light shows synchronized to music. Features that further elevate team introductions, halftime activities, and celebrations.

Third-Party Technology Integration
Third-party technology can also synchronize with the stadium's new integrated systems, such as the use of PixMob LED wristbands that allow fans to interact with the game day experience.

The lighting and videoboard systems are backed by Musco’s long-term parts and labor warranty, helping to ensure Valley Stadium remains a destination for high school athletics and community events for years to come.
